Left back Lucas Digne, the 19-year-old Lille OSC footballer, is signed with his French club through 2016/17; representing France at several youth levels, the Meaux native appears ready for senior national team duty.

He's capable of moving up into the midfield in a more attacking role from his left-sided defensive position; added versatility is always handy when it comes to the national football team.

Will Digne, an athletically-gifted player, make a French camp in 2013. Will he even appear in a friendly?

Keep focused on this French prospect.

Six-a-side Spring 2013

Women:
+ Taylor Uhl - University of Minnesota
+ Jenna Richardson - Oregon State
+ Micaela Castain - Washington State

Men:
+ Mark Sherrod - University of Memphis
+ Magnus Thorsson - Winthrop University
+ Spencer Richey - University of Washington

Six-a-side with Memphis forward Mark Sherrod

This summer, the University of Memphis men's soccer program transitions from Conference USA to the Big East; a critically important aspect of this passage into the new conference will be the play of standout forward Mark Sherrod. The Tigers junior ended the 2012 season with 12 goals and four assists earning his second straight C-USA Offensive Player of the Year award.

With Major League Soccer praise-worthy posts already published and with experience playing for the Portland Timbers U-23 squad, Sherrod appears capable of making the college-to-pro jump at the conclusion of his Memphis career.

The Knoxville native kindly spoke via phone yesterday with Football Friendlies about the scrimmage with FC Dallas, the balance between academics and athletics and the awesomeness of Jimmy Buffett.

1. You recently competed in a scrimmage with Major League Soccer side FC Dallas scoring a goal in the process. What did you take from the experience?

It was a great feeling, obviously, being able to score against professional players but our team didn't win which mattered most. Overall, an amazing experience, observing and learning from professionals.

2. How are you able to balance your academic and athletic responsibilities?

It's pretty tough, to be honest. You decide each day how to commit your time because after practice as soon as I come home it's straight to the books. It really is a balance between the two; I find it helps to work a nap in there.

3. What's your take on the team's move from Conference USA to the Big East starting July 1?

Conference USA has been amazing with some of the best teams in the country; three or four a year are invited to the NCAA Tournament. But the move to the Big East is huge and there are some top teams in the conference like UConn. It will be fun to travel to the schools; the competition alone will be worth it.

And three for fun:

4. Best off campus food/restaurant?

The Chinese Sub Shop [aka Super Submarine Sandwich Shop] is this great hole-in-the-wall place that makes the best sandwiches.

5. Playing on the iPod?

On the iPod, I have to be honest, it's Jimmy Buffett.

6. Player or club you supported growing up?

I still am a huge Arsenal fan. I always admired both Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp, two great Arsenal forwards.

Six-a-side with Winthrop midfielder Magnus Thorsson

Six-a-side's next guest is Winthrop University midfielder Magnus Thorsson; the Eagles men's soccer standout earned a spot on the 2012 Big South All-Freshmen Team.

The Reykjavik, Iceland native competed in 22 games scoring in the team's 3-2 comeback victory over Coastal Carolina in the Big South Conference championship.

Thorsson kindly spoke via email with Football Friendlies about his journey from Iceland to Winthrop, the team's response to losing inspirational leader Alex Isern and why as a supporter of English football, he'll never walk alone.

1. Can you talk about the journey that led you to play at Winthrop?

In my home country, Iceland, we are only able to play soccer on natural grass 3 or 4 months out of the year. The United States was a great opportunity to play and train in fair conditions all year round. An ex-NCAA Icelandic player named Kristjan Palsson was a great help to me and got me in contact with the coaches at Winthrop University. Winthrop struck me as a place with a really reputable soccer program and top quality facilities. To be able to combine soccer and studying abroad was something that fascinated me and looking back I am very happy that I made the decision to come here.

2. Now that you've reflected on your successful freshman year, what are you most proud of?

Being a part of the first Winthrop team to ever reach the NCAA round of 32, in my freshmen season, was something special. Winning the Big South Conference was also a huge milestone, one of my proudest soccer moments. I was also pleased to receive some individual awards and I definitely intend to build on that in the coming years.

3. How will the squad respond now that Alex Isern, who was such a dynamic player, has concluded his career?

Alex was a great player for us and of course will be missed dearly next season. Not only was he important on the field with his goals and assists but was also a great captain and leader. Next year will be an opportunity for other returners to step up and embrace the responsibility; I’m confident of that happening. Currently we have a solid backbone to the team returning and hopefully a great recruiting class coming in.

And three for fun:

4. Best off campus food/restaurant?

I am a big fan of Panera Bread and a Japanese restaurant here in Rock Hill called Ichiro.

5. Playing on the iPod?

I like all kinds of music but at the moment the most played band on my iPod is the Icelandic band “Of Monsters and Men”.

6. Player or club you supported growing up?

Since I’ve been little I have always been a huge supporter of Liverpool FC. I have always been an admirer of midfielders Steven Gerrard and Zinedine Zidane.

Six-a-side with UW goalkeeper Spencer Richey

Last fall, University of Washington goalkeeper Spencer Richey helped the Huskies return to the NCAA Tournament; the men's soccer program last enjoyed a run at the end-of-season competition back in 2007.

The junior played every minute of every match in 2012 as the team finished with a 12-4-3 record. The Huskies paced the Pac-12 conference in fewest goals allowed with fifteen, posted a 0.74 goals-against average and tallied nine shutouts.

He kindly spoke via email about the rapport he has with head coach Jamie Clark, the advanced leadership role he is transitioning into and what separates good from great goalkeepers in our first installment of Six-a-side, a new question-and-answer section here at Football Friendlies.

1. Coach Jamie Clark has returned the program to the upper echelon of the Pac-12 with back-to-back 12+ win seasons. You've played a critical role in this transformation. Care to give some insight into the player-coach relationship?

Jamie is a great coach, and he is an even better player's coach. What I mean by that is he is extremely good at communicating what he wants and what his expectations are to the players. Decisions on playing-time and other things rarely come out of left field, because he is straight forward with his players about what they need to improve on and what they already do well. Since he got here he has continued to push the expectations of our program to higher and higher levels, and it has shown through our play and our results.

2. You and your teammates lost several key players to graduation. Are you looking to take a more advanced leadership role in 2013?

Although I did consider myself to be a leader on the team last year, with the departure of our two captains Dylan [Tucker-Gangnes] and [Ben] Fisk, I definitely am going to have to step up to try to fill their shoes. It is crazy how time flies in college soccer. It felt like just last month I was arriving here as a freshman and next thing I know I am a senior and young guys are looking up to me. Heading into my fourth off-season here at UW, I feel prepared and ready to help lead our young team to another PAC-12 and NCAA tournament run.

3. What aspect of your game will you look to improve upon as you head into the 2013 campaign?

Two things that I think separate good goalkeepers from great goalkeepers is their ability to make good decisions and their ability to organize what is in front of them. These are two big areas I'm constantly working on and the off-season/spring season is a good time to do so.

And three for fun:

4. Best off campus food/restaurant?

I'm a big sucker for Chipotle. It never seems to get old no matter how often I go, but that is a little mainstream. The best under-the-radar place is probably Teriyaki 1st, or "T-1" as we like to call it.

5. Playing on the iPod?

I love all kinds of music. I like everything from country to techno to rap. For pre-game purposes though, I like to stick to techno or rap music.

6. Player or club you supported growing up?

My favorite European club growing up was and still is Arsenal. In MLS, I like both the Sounders and the Timbers, if that is even allowed. I grew up in Seattle, so I am a die hard Seattle sports fan, but I played for the Timbers U-23s last summer and I grew to really like the Portland organization, so I am in a bit of a pickle. My favorite players are probably Tim Howard, Iker Casillas and Thierry Henry.

Three more with Yannick Smith

Photo Credit: Old Dominion University Athletics

A member of the Houston Dynamo's preseason roster, Yannick Smith commented in a December 2012 email about his collegiate career, his preparation for the combine including chatting with David Horst and his hopes for a professional career for his recent profile at Football Friendlies.

The interview included three other questions that did not make the profile. Here are his responses offering further insight especially around Smith's balance of academics and athletics; in 2012 he was a CoSIDA Academic All-District III selection.

1. How were you able to balance your academic and athletic priorities?

My whole life my parents have harped on me always to keep my grades up so when I got to college that didn’t change. I just kept myself on a schedule making sure I did my work as early as possible so I was never swamped. I scheduled all my classes in the morning - so I could do my work before training - or in the evening if needed. Once I stuck to the schedule I had set for myself keeping up with my grades and soccer was not an issue.

2. What's one aspect of your game that you feel gets overlooked?

I believe I am a much smarter player than I get credit for. I feel I have a very good understanding of the game and how it should be played. At times that may get over looked because I am usually all the way up the field and not in the middle of the field where I can really show my soccer I.Q. but I do believe I am an intelligent player.

3. Toughest field to visit in the Colonial Athletic Association?

Easy question, Northeastern by far, it’s not even close. It’s always cold up there (it snowed last time we played there). It’s also an older turf field and I played on grass at ODU, and on top of all of that they’re always a good team. They are always ready to play and in my two trips up there we didn’t score a goal and they played two great games against us. Their fans are also rowdy and try to get in your head. I do believe our atmosphere at ODU is one of the best in the nation but the toughest place to play is Northeastern by far.

Pittsburgh Steelers likened to Liverpool FC

The Yanks Are Coming's Jon Levy recently completed a two part series on soccer clubs and their NFL counterparts (Part II linked).

Interestingly, he listed Liverpool as the counterpart of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The comparison actually makes a good deal of sense.

From Levy's article:

"Perennial contenders, competitive even in down years, immense championship history, snazzy but not outlandish uniforms, a tremendous homefield advantage, and a city that prides itself on being blue-collar but also increasingly modern and young. They even have loveable leaders alike in Steven Gerrard, one of the finer players of his generation, and Troy Polamalu, one of the finest defensive players of his generation."

From a cultural standpoint, the water is critical to the city's identity in both cases. In addition, in the same away Liverpool and Manchester are often seen as rival cities so too are Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. The rivalries bitterly carry over to sport with Manchester United and Liverpool engaging in several historic contests; the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers also battle for Pennsylvania bragging rights.

Former Old Dominion standout Yannick Smith offered chance to compete with Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo

Photo Credit: Old Dominion University Athletics

Former Old Dominion standout Yannick Smith, drafted by the Houston Dynamo with the 75th pick in the fourth round at the 2013 MLS supplemental draft, savored the moment offering up effusive replies to Dynamo faithful via Twitter. He also took to the social media platform and cheekily noted his place in the draft as Mr. Irrelevant, the term coined for the event's final selection.

Now Smith will work towards maintaining his place on the Dynamo roster, and with it an all-important professional contract, as Houston's February training camp rolls toward the season kick off this March. Before joining the professional ranks, the attacking player completed a massively successful collegiate career with the Old Dominion University Monarchs. He ended his career ninth on the all-time goal list and 11th all-time in assists.

Primarily, a center forward in college, Smith transitioned to a left-side attacking role during his senior season, becoming more of a facilitator versus a finisher.

"The majority of my life I've played center forward, but this year I was more of a left winger," Smith said via a December 2012 email interview. "At first it was frustrating because I did not understand the position completely but as the season went on I got more and more comfortable with it."

Smith's training sessions during the 2012 summer often focused on his positional change. "I put an emphasis on working on my combination play," the Dynamo draft pick said. "At ODU we played a very attractive brand of soccer and it's made me a much better player; last summer was devoted to my touch, passing, and playing quicker."

Upon completion of his senior season, Smith earned an invite to the 2013 Major League Soccer Combine held in Florida. Like many combine invitees, he was able to rely upon a former collegiate teammate for advice and guidance. Old Dominion alumnus, David Horst, a 27-year-old defender currently with the Portland Timbers, spoke with Smith about the expectations that come with the event.

"Once I found out I was selected to the combine, I wanted to reach out to Dave to talk to him but he beat me to it," Smith said. "Dave has been a great help, always giving me positive advice and I’m extremely grateful he reached out to me when he did not need to."

Prior to the combine in December, Smith noted some areas in need of improvement as he looked to transition to the pro ranks. "I want to continue working on my touch and get stronger," Smith said. "I believe I have a lot to bring a professional team and if I can continue to improve those parts of my game it will only give my game more versatility."

In the coming weeks, Smith will work towards cementing his roster standing with Houston. Perhaps he might even join the Dynamo's list of late-round draft picks who through development and patience went on to achieve at the sport's highest level.

Re-post June 2009 Soccer Cleats 101: An Interview With Bryan Byrne

This interviewed first published June 21, 2009 at former website Soccer City FC.

26-year-old Irish-born winger Bryan Byrne, currently with the Ventura County Fusion, owns and operates Soccer Cleats 101. He kindly sat down with Soccer City FC to discuss his collegiate and professional careers, his website, and the important factors that go into a good pair of cleats.

Q. What was your fondest memory of competing with Kildare County in Ireland?

I think my debut is my fondest memory. I started with the team as an under-21 player, and became the first player in club history to have come from the local Sunday league! I had to work really hard to break into the team, and I got an assist that night, which made it even more pleasing. If I was to go with my least fond I would have to say the hairdryer treatment our coach Dermot Keeley gave us, although it was always merited!

Q. How did you end up stateside with the UCSB Gauchos?

Dermot Keeley’s son Alan was playing at UCSB, and when he returned to Ireland, the UCSB coach’s came recruiting for more players. It was not long after my debut and they heard I was a quick winger. Dermot recommended me and they came to watch me play, as it happened I was just what they was looking for. After the coaches described Santa Barbara to me, and described their plans for the UCSB team, I was in!

Q. What is your assessment of collegiate soccer here in the U.S.?

I was very shocked when I arrived over here. To be honest it kind of floored me! I think at the time my ego had exploded as I got a lot of press before coming over here. When I started playing with the team I soon discovered that I was nowhere near the level of some of the guys. After playing collegiate and professionally I can honestly say that the level of US soccer is rapidly on the rise. I am very much against younger players leaving college early to pursue a professional career!

With how MLS is structured, my best advice for younger players is to take advantage of having the opportunity to get a college degree and train daily. In MLS you can be dropped at any moment, and there is now no reserve league, how are players supposed to improve? I look at my Alma Mater UCSB and the players who have chosen to leave early and think about the opportunities they have missed by leaving school early!

Q. What are/have been some of the challenges and rewards of playing professional soccer?

The biggest challenge for me was consistently playing. MLS is structured in a way that does not really improve the development of younger players. When I was at New England we played one week on three weeks off! Personally, I need a run of games to get going. In college it was not until mid season that I really got going. Now that there are no reserve leagues this challenge become a greater issue.

There are many rewards. Just knowing that you have an impact on young players is an amazing feeling. My favorite part was the ‘Questions and Answers’ segment, as you really get to share with kids what it is all about. Growing up my Dad always talked about George Best and how he would spend hours outside alone just kicking a ball against a wall, and that was something I always wanted to emulate. Sharing stories and setting goals for younger kids is exciting to think about!

Q. How did the idea for the website come about?

The idea for the website came from my love and experience with soccer. I remember one day trying to find a review for a pair of Lotto cleats I was thinking of buying and really finding nothing. After some research, I found some very generic sites that all had the same information. Thus, I thought it would be a good idea just to write about the ones I wore...from there I got some positive feedback and the site has rapidly grown.

My goal is to supply relevant information from my experiences with a pair of cleats. In the last few months, I have been able to increase the number of reviews by actually wearing cleats in practice and in games. With so many new pairs hitting the markets, it makes sense so other people know what to expect from cleats before they buy!

Q. Have you heard back from readers regarding your great reviews of the numerous soccer cleats out there?

Yes, it has been great! I get emails from people asking questions and some who just want to give their opinion of the reviewed cleats. I encourage everyone to comment and share their experiences with a pair. I am only one review, and I know other people have differing experiences (or in some cases extremely similar) with the same pairs. The more info that is available, the easier it will be for others to know if the cleats would actually suit them, if anyone wants to leave information about the cleats they wear please feel free to do so.

Q. Any future plans or additions to the website?

We are currently adding a new one page solution for people looking for a particular ‘type’ of cleat. It is going to be in a ‘best of’ format. We are also in talks with an interactive soccer website about sharing our content with them. That will be something to watch out for. As always though, we will be looking to provide the newest personal reviews with no bias!

Q. What is the most important factor when choosing the perfect soccer cleat?

Without a doubt it is find comfort in your style. Ronaldo or Messi would not be great players if they consistently wore boots that did not suit their feet. It is not all about being the one to stand out in the newest or most sought after shoes. Once you find your niche stick with it. And of course make sure you read reviews to ensure you have information on what you are getting!

Draft analyst Joe Mauceri who operates Pro Player Pipeline noted that Brovsky had a good game in both defense as well as in the attack in the final game at the Combine.

Brovsky, prior to the Combine, commented on his discussions with former Notre Dame teammates who previously attended the event. Players such as Ryan Miller, Matt Besler, Justin Morrow and Bright Dike discussed with Brovsky the interactions and expectations that transpire at the Combine in Florida.

"All of them had good showings at the combine and simply told me to play like I know how to and enjoy it," Brovsky said via email.

Brovsky played left back during the final game in Florida but is versatile enough to play in the midfield and in the attack if needed at the pro level as he did during his collegiate career.

"I definitely think that is one of my greatest assets as a player and hopefully will play to my advantage in the future," he said.

One advantage that Brovsky came into the combine with was that he trained in Colorado before the event in stark contrast of those who chose to train closer to sea level.

"Colorado is great because it makes me train at a higher altitude and really opens up the lungs."

With the Combine complete, Brovsky will make the jump to the professional ranks as a 2011 MLS SuperDraft selection. Only one question remains. What franchise will select the former Notre Dame standout?

"I have aspired to play at the next level since as early as I can remember and look forward to getting the opportunity."

MLS Combine 2013: Dylan Tucker-Gangnes Helped Return UW Men's Soccer to the National Stage

Photo credit: Stephen Brashear via University of Washington Athletics

The recent history of the University of Washington men’s soccer program includes several players who jumped from the collegiate to the professional game. Former Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Ely Allen scored off a Dave Beckham assist, FC Dallas defender George John continued to showcase his defensive skills and this past season center back Taylor Mueller earned first-team minutes with the Charleston Battery.

Now, two more former Huskies look to translate collegiate success into a Major League Soccer roster spot as center back Dylan Tucker-Gangnes (6-3/190) and midfielder Ben Fisk recently received invitations to the 2013 MLS Combine. Tucker-Gangnes and Fisk both landed a spot on the 2012 NCAA Division I Men’s All-Far West Region team; for Tucker-Gangnes, it was as a member of the All-Far West Region's First Team.

And unlike John's squad in 2008 and Mueller's in 2010, the 2012 senior co-captains finally guided the team to the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Tournament as the Huskies returned to the 48-team playoff, the first appearance since back-to-back runs in 2006 and ‘07.

“It was satisfying to get back into the tournament; winning the first-round match was big,” Tucker-Gangnes said via phone.

After a 1-0 NCAA First-Round victory over Air Force in Seattle, the Huskies traveled to Omaha, Nebraska succumbing 4-2 to a spirited Creighton squad. “Of course, I am bitter about the Second-Round loss, but you have to give Creighton credit, they won,” the standout from Bainbridge Island, Washington said.

Tucker-Gangnes, critical to UW’s return to the national stage, combined physical attributes with a new-found offensive confidence taken from his trainings with assistant coach Craig Waibel. A 12-year professional for a host of Major League Soccer teams, Waibel, a UW soccer alum, joined the Huskies staff in 2012 after a stop at the University of Michigan.

“I approached my off-season before the 2012 collegiate year a little differently as I was nursing an injury,” Tucker-Gangnes said before remarking, “Coach Waibel and I worked on adding to my toolbox as I wanted to take my game to the next level.”

Player and coach focused on the center back’s offensive game, especially with regards to maximizing his abilities in the box on set pieces.

“Our team lacked some offensive prowess up front so we played for set pieces,” the defender said. With tutelage from Waibel, the Huskies co-captain added knowledge around timing his runs more effectively, losing his mark and finding the ball in the air; the defender ended with eight goals, two of which were game winners.

After a successful collegiate career, Tucker-Gangnes looks now to his professional prospects. The center back, excited to hear of his invitation to the 2013 Major League Soccer Combine, currently is down in Oregon training for the event. “I’m fine tuning everything,” Tucker-Gangnes said.

My favorite stat from Lionel Messi's 91 goals in 2012

Have to say it's the nine hat tricks in 2012; seven for Barcelona and two for Argentina. When you score 91 goals from 69 matches played, you put yourself on the level of the greatest ever to play the game, but when you score nine hat tricks in the calendar year, you take things to a whole new level.

Bravo, Messi!

Manchester United's South American Pipeline

Brazil Soccer team

Since 2008, Manchester United and Desportivo Brasil have enjoyed a mutual exchange where players, coaches and football knowledge have traveled between the two sides.

Desportivo Brasil was founded in 2005 by the Traffic Group, a vast sporting company in Brazil, with the sole purpose of utilizing the club to send players abroad to greener -- in terms of pitch and pound -- pastures. Desportivo's multi-million pound training centre is one of the finest in all of South America. In this new age of football, the first-rate facilities are not utilized for trophy acquisition but for financial gains.

Desportivo's location in Porto Feliz, only 90 minutes ride to Sao Paulo, is critical to the club's vision of moving players to Europe for financial gain. Sao Paulo is the largest city in South America, in terms of population. The mega-city boasts a modern airport with frequent incoming flights completed by American Airlines, Air Canada, Delta, Iberia, Lufthansa, British Airways and Air France.

The proximity lends to cheaper costs when players are sent out on trial to clubs on the European continent or to North America.

Manchester United gained a foothold early at Desportivo and the relationships remains strong today.

In March of 2012, the Old Trafford machine added 17-year-old midfielder Lucas Evangelista. The teenager, capable of playing in an attacking or defensive role, impressed the United scouting machine with his work-rate and dribbling skills. In 2013, he will sign a professional contract after his 18th birthday joining Anderson, Rafael and Fabio da Silva as Brazilian Reds.

In yet another savvy move United is utilizing FC Twente to essentially host the Brazilian wunderkinds until the Samba stars-in-training can gain valuable first-team experience and more importantly the credentials needed for EU status.

In the past, Traffic's president of international business Jochen Losch noted the relationship between United and Twente.

Losch stated to Sportsmail:

"Twente are a partner, helping United to resolve the problem of their EU passports. For two reasons it's good that a player goes first to Holland. First, after two or three years he's considered to be European. And of course it's easier to play in the Dutch league than the Premier League."

If the player succeeds in Europe, Desportivo and its owner Traffic succeed as well. For example, United pays a fee to Traffic for players such as Evangelista. The Brazilian company then retains a fifty-percent share of any future profits from the sale of the player.

In addition to Evangelista, striker Aguilar and midfielder Agnaldo are two more Desportivo prodigies who could prove critical to future United title teams. And now comes word this December that United will add yet another Desportivo youngster when Bruno Gomes joins United in 2014.

So in a full-circle kind of way, Desportivo is about trophy acquisition after all.

Now Europe's elite clubs are taking note.

Jores Okore's agent Nicola Juric recently reported to international media including Sky Sports' Ejder Akbal that a host of clubs are tracking the Ivorian-born defender.

"There is interest from Russia, England, Germany, France and the two big clubs in Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Kiev and Jores is open for anything. The most important thing for him is that any potential suitor really believes in him."

The 24-year-old, formerly of Northampton Town, looks primed for another call up to Northern Ireland's senior side thanks to his in-form play. With 18 goals this season, he should earn some time on the pitch as the Green and White Army is eager to see if his club success can translate to country.

Scouting the 2013 Football Friendly Scene - Christian Atsu

Scouting the 2013 Football Friendly Scene searches throughout the world for the next wave of talented players who now are just debuting with their national teams.

Up first, it's Christian Atsu Twasam.

Known as: Atsu

Country: Ghana

Club: Porto

Age: 20-years-old

Top Skill: Pace

Foot: Left

Atsu, discovered as a youth by Feyenoord's Football Academy in Gomoah Fetteh, looks primed for a breakout performance at the 2013 African Cup of Nations. Pitted in Group B with Mail, Niger and Congo DR, Atsu and his teammates should have an easy journey progressing to the knockout stage of the tournament.

Picked up by Porto's Academy as a 17-year-old, Atsu was called up for first-team action by Andre Villas-Boas on May 14, 2011 but did not factor in the match. The winger earned time on the pitch through a loan to Rio Ave for the 2011-12 season where he scored six times. The Ghana football federation was tracking Atsu and called him into the national team for the 2012 summer season where he scored twice.

Now back at the Estadio do Dragao for the 2012-13 season, the Ghanaian footballer is one to watch in 2013.
