Paul Green joins Irish national side ready for friendly action against Poland

It's Ed Leahy at RTÉ/Sport reporting on Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni's decision to bring in Paul Green for the friendly with Poland on Wednesday the 6 of February.

Green, a central midfielder, remained on the bench for Leeds this past weekend in Championship action as the club fell to top-of-the-table Cardiff.

Per the FAI statement: "The Football Association of Ireland today (Monday) confirmed that Leeds Utd midfielder Paul Green has been called up to Giovanni Trapattoni’s squad to face Poland on Wednesday in Aviva Stadium in place of David Meyler."
