South Korea steamrolled in football friendly as Croatia wins 4-0

A truly inspiring offensive outburst culminated in Croatian goals from Mario Mandzukic, Darijo Srna, Nikica Jelavic and Mladen Petric as the national team saw off South Korea in friendly action held at Fulham's Craven Cottage. The European side will now look to use this victory as psychological momentum as the World Cup qualifying returns this March with Balkan rival Serbia waiting.

Also of note, goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa earned his 100th Croatian cap by starting the match.

In-form Mandzukic, the Budneslig's top scorer with Bayern Munich, begin the offensive display with a 33rd minute via a close-range header. For an in-depth match report check outYahoo!'s Eurosport.com.

+ The White Eagles travel to Cyprus in preparation for a crucial qualification period. First on March 22, comes an epic Balkan clash between Croatia followed by a return home to host Scotland on the 26. Six points are critical if Serbia is to chase the 2014 World Cup dream.

+ The performance of 27-year-old defender Aleksandar Kolarov, who has been somewhat marginalized at Manchester City, is an interesting subplot to the match. He's a massive contributor for Serbia and without much first-team club activity, will the rust show?
